The International Baccalaureate Organization

IBO is a non-profit educational foundation based in Switzerland, that aims to develop lifelong learners who thrive and make a difference in the world around them.  The IBO provides curriculum and assessment development, teacher training and information seminars, electronics, and other services to over 8,000 participating schools in more than 159 countries with more than 1.95 million students ages 3-19 across the globe. 

There are currently 43 IB schools in Arizona offering 62 programs from Primary Years, Middle Years, Diploma and Career-Related Program. Barry Goldwater High School received its IB DP Authorization in 2000, MYP Authorization in 2013 and CP Authorization in 2024.

We are proud to be 1 of 7 MYP Partnership schools in Arizona

and currently partner with Norterra Canyon School.

 

 

 

Enrollment

The Barry Goldwater High School International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is accepting students from the Deer Valley School District and from other districts. Our enrollment is not capped and all students who qualify for the program will be accepted. We are excited to accept students who apply to MYP/IB in 9th or 10th grades.  Students in 11th and 12th grade can choose from any of our IB Diploma courses offered at the Standard or Higher Level or complete the IB Career-Related track with a specific career related CTE course.  It is recommended that IB Full Diploma Candidates fulfill Pre-IB requirements to be considered.
