Ms. Debra Cagle

I am a Special Educator.

I graduated from ASU.

I have been teaching at BGHS since 2011.

I love teaching high school students and having the opportunity to work with a diverse set of students makes me happy.

I consider every student to be one of my children: I care about their experience, I give them time and opportunity to show me their strengths, I assist them in finding ways to express their needs in class/life, and I hold them accountable for their participation and work while allowing them to be themselves. 

I have 3 adult children, but all 3 of my children attended Barry Goldwater and graduated from here.

I am the grandma of a beautiful, funny, and smart 2-year-old girl. 

I enjoy learning things from my students each year and look forward to seeing what this new year brings.

I have 2 dogs, a Min-Pomeranian and a Min-Pinscher.

I love Star Wars, so much that my living room wall (as well as my classrooms' walls) is decorated with Star Wars memorabilia. 

I am a painter and very creative. I enjoy having elaborate nail art done on my nails.

I am a big fan of BGHS Spiritline and BGHS Wrestling, I volunteer for cheer, but I am on the Wrestling coaching staff. I love to attend events the students are involved in. 

I would love to see parents come to events and share in the excitement whenever they can.
