I grew up in suburban Denver and am a huge Bronco fan. After going to college in Salt Lake City, Denver and London, England, I graduated from Metropolitan State University in Denver with a BA in History and a minor in Political Science. I am married, and our son graduated from BGHS in 2019, earning the IB Diploma. He graduated in Honoribus while running Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track at Division II Northern State University in South Dakota. He is now the Sports Director and main Sports Anchor at KMOT in Minot, ND.
This is my 33rd year at Goldwater. During my time at BG I have taught American History, World History, World History Honors, AP American Government and Politics, AM Government, Law in Society, IB TOK and both IB History courses. I have coached all 3 levels of boys' and girls' Basketball, Track, JV Baseball, Cross Country and the Mock Trial team.
I wrote the BGHS IB History curriculum and have taught IB History for 22 years and served as the Assistant IB Coordinator for 13 years and was the IB CAS Coordinator for 19 years.

You will be introduced to the IB testing process so that when you sit for the History Papers (exams) in May 2022 you will not be suprised by what you are asked to do.
HOA is the Regional Study that BGHS chose 20+ years ago and is the basis of the Paper 3 questions.
