About the Teacher:
Hello! This will be my first year here at BGHS, and I'm so excited to be joining the Bulldog family. Previously, I was the 8th grade Social Studies teacher at Paseo Hills, as well as the PH Newspaper Club co-sponsor in 2024.
My educational career has always been strongly connected to DVUSD. I'm a graduate of Deer Valley High School by way of Mountain Shadows and Desert Sky Middle School. I earned my bachelor's degree in History (Secondary Education) from Arizona State University in 2020, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from ASU's Barrett Honors College, completely all my student teaching and internships through DVUSD. Today, I also work as the facilitator for the Superintendent's Student Advisory Council, bringing together young leaders from all around the district.
I'm a huge fan of vintage and historical literature, pulp, and comics. I spend lots of my time reading, watching baseball (I'm a Dodgers fan, sorry), and participating in extracurricular activities all across DVUSD.
